What a view

This is pretty much the view Steph has this week (a few cabins down from hers). The news said tonight that it was suspossed to be the hottest week this year so I hope she enjoys her week regardless.

Card Challenge

This is a card I made for a card challenge on Stamp TV. My mom does these contests all the time & they came up with one called Lazy Summer Days (clean & simple). She thought of me instantly & told me about it. I was trying to explain a layout for her to use & decided to just do it myself :) Check out my mom's ENTRY.

Almost Finished :)

Steph will be on her last month of med's after camp next week. She had to get in early since she'll be gone next week. So today's picture is of the dermatology clinic we've spent many hours in this year.

Scrapbooking fun!

Saturday was the monthly get together for Retha, Pam & I to meet up & scrapbook. I got one of the kits done. I also decided to scrapbook more & started a new kit Monday, but didnt get much done. I did finish it up today & this is what the photo is for today. I don't have photos on the pages yet because my kit for this month is beach themed & I want to see it before I start putting pictures from our beach vacation on. Temp drop

While in the pool I noticed a dark cloud overhead. Retha & I started asking the cloud to dump some rain on us. A few minutes later I thought I saw a bubble on the water. Then I start seeing more bubbles & realize it is raining a little. Retha & I start grabbing pool floats & getting out of water (in case of lightning). We had a good little rain & it sure dropped the temps from the 104 that it was before I headed out to the pool.

Hot Hot Hot

Geez it's hot out. This was taken Fri, July 22nd @ 3pm, right before I headed out to the pool.

XBOX 360

Steph decided to save up money for an XBOX 360. She reached that goal yesterday & went with her video game playing dad & uncle to buy her new "toy". She's one happy girl!

Triple Digits

This is the first time we've noticed it reaching triple digits here. It is so humid & muggy outside & just plain hot. About the only time we go outside is to check the mail, take the trash out, water the garden, & to swim in the pool :)

Flowers I made

I first saw some flowers by Prima at a scrapbook store in Alabama that I loved, but refused to pay $5 for them. I bought some fabric (on sale at Hobby Lobby) & some ribbon (also on sale at Hobby Lobby). Today I finally made some time to go on YouTube for instructions. Found info on easy rolled flowers so I decided to try my ribbon out. I can't get the fabric to work right making the Prima flowers. Oh well I like what I ended up with & think they'll be the perfect page elements for our family photo taken at the beach this year. Can't wait to scrapbook with the ladies on Saturday.

Movie Time

Went to another movie at Malco's Summer Kids Movie. We saw Diary of the Wimpy Kid. It was a funny movie, we enjoyed it.

New fence

My dad came over Saturday & helped Chris get the chain link fence in. Thanks Daddy I know I can always count on you!

Hospital Visit

Chris's dad started having stomach pains Friday. About 4:30 pm he decided it was time to visit a walk-in clinic. The one in Lowell was closed but they found one open in Rogers. They sent him to the ER & it was determined his appendix needed to come out. Surgery was Saturday & he did great. Got to come home Sunday. We are glad you feel better Wallace.

Happy Birthday to me

I was told about this pizza place last weekend & decided the family would go there for my birthday dinner. It was good, but I'll admit that That Little Pizza Place in Huntsville still has the best Taco Pizza around.

After dinner we headed to Barnes & Noble to turn in a reading log for Logan. While browsing books I saw this one. LOL Just HAD to have my photo taken with it since I'm the birthday girl today.

Stephanie took Logan to Walmart last night & they got me a glass with a lid/straw & a Diet Dr. Depper. I have been sipping my lemon water all day out of it, I love it!! Plus the cutest card ever about how I'm a great mom & do a ton of stuff for them & all the tick marks on it & the card opens up & becomes huge & it says they think they'll need more paper. Really sweet.

Here is a card I made yesterday. I love that Spot On jumbo wheel from Stampin' Up. So sad they retired it. I like how the black embossing makes the spots really stand out. This color combo/theme matches their wedding invite so I think she (Chris's older brother, step daughter) will like it.

Fence

I called before we dug. The utility companies are all coming to mark their lines. We have to mark our projected fencing with white. The company representing blue has already been out. Blue is water according to the website.

Mama-razzi time.....say cheese!

The kids do not enjoy when I decide we need to take photos on the beach. It's best to do it right before sundown & you only have a certain amount of time for good lighting. So I am always rushing them & getting onto them because someone isn't smiling or someone is looking away. Etc Etc.


On the way back to the house Steph decided to jump off the short little boardwalk. So I get the bright idea to take photos. It was not easy to get both kids to jump at the same time. I even jumped, but I'm not sharing those photos :)
